The sea turtle Caretta-Caretta is an endangered Mediterranean marine specie. This turtle, that can also be seen on Zakynthos, can reach a size of 1.2 metres in length and a weight of 100kg. The Greek and international legislation have adopted series of agreements and measures to protect the turtle, and have also established the National Marine Park of Zakynthos, in Greece.  |
